Cornerstone Summer Teen and Kid's Programs

Registration is LIVE for our summer teen and kid’s programs.  Don’t miss out on the chance for your kids and teens to get stronger, faster, and healthier this summer!

 

Teen Conditioning Class – This 60 minute class will focus on strength, agility, proper movement mechanics, and conditioning in a group class environment.  All classes led by certified instructors.  This 10-week session will start June 4th and is $275 for the entire session. 

 

M/W 5:30pm

Teen Weightlifting Club – This 60 minute class will focus on the barbell.  Teens must have graduated our weightlifting fundamentals program or be cleared by an instructor before joining.  Strength and Olympic lifts will be performed under a certified instructor’s supervision and direction.  The teen weightlifting club meets year round and is billed as a monthly membership at $140/month.

 

M/W/TH 4:30pm

 

Cornerstone Kids- This 45 minute long class is geared towards children 6-10 years old.  Proper movement is taught in a fun and game based environment with an emphasis on gymnastics, dumbbell and kettlebell strength, as well as age appropriate conditioning.  The class will run for 10 weeks starting June 4th and will be billed by 5-week sessions.  Days and sessions must be picked during registration.

Session 1 – June 4th – July 7th

Session 2 – July 9th  - August 11th

Memorial Day - MURPH

Join us for our annual Memorial Day Workout - Murph.

Cornerstone Kids - Spring Session

Our 8 week Spring session of Cornerstone Kids kicks off on Tuesday, April 3rd. 

Kettlebell Cubs (5-8 years)

Tuesdays 5:40-6:10pm

This class will focus on establishing great movement patterns and incorporate weights with kettlebells and dumbbells. Focus of the class is to have FUN while getting a great workout in. Each class will touch on gymnastics, movement patterns to develop a "perfect" squat and deadlift, a workout written for kids, and a fitness based game.
1 day/week $100 0

Cornerstone Kids (8-12 years)

Tuesday/Thursday 6:15 - 7pm

This class focuses on the same structure and components of our Cubs class but will incorporate the use of barbell when proper movement pattern is established. Workouts will be longer and will focus on intensity and strength building. Kids will be encouraged to track their weights and movements with a journal log provided by Cornerstone.

Rookie Rumble Competition by Lex Artis

Are you new to all of this functional movement performed at high intensity? Have you ever done a competition before? Are you coming off your very first Open? Well, this event is for you!

This will be a partner event with two divisions:

“Full Rookie” Division. Two “Rookies” get together and form a team. This can be male-male or female-female.

“Pro-Am” Division. This is where two people form a team where one person has been around the block and has more experience, but the other person is fairly new to all of this stuff. (again, male-male or female-female teams ONLY)

The big question becomes...what do we define as a rookie? See our website for details and a write up on this.

Programming will be written to be challenging, but approachable. Don’t expect to run into any “sticking points”.

T-shirts are included in the price of registration. Registration Closes two weeks prior or when event sells out (whichever comes first).

There will be one written movement standard for this event, but scaling will be allowed. If you do scale a movement your team is just eliminated from prizes.

REFUND POLICY

Once you sign up for an event 100% of all fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. Once you sign up for an event the MAXIMUM refund granted will be 90% of registration cost (i.e. a 10% service fee will apply to ALL refunds). At 30 days prior to an event the MAXIMUM refund granted will be 50% of registration cost. At 21 days prior to the event, there will be NO refunds granted. ALL refund requests MUST be sent via E-MAIL ONLY to info@lex-artis.net.

We appreciate our early registrants and repeat customers. If you register for one of our events, and if we globally lower the price of the event after you have paid, we will refund the difference to you between the price you paid and the lower price.

Join us for our 1st Group Ski/Board/Tubing trip to Perfect North Slopes! 

Night ski hours are from 8pm - Midnight. Ticket price includes skiing/boarding/and snow tubing for the 4 hours.

Helmet Only Rental $5
Payment can be made at Perfect North the day of the event.

We will meet at the gym at 6:30pm and carpool to Perfect North together. Carpool sheets will be organized closer to the event.

Parent's Night Out

Need a night out child free?? Then drop your kids off for our first Parent's Night Out! Drop off starts at 6:30pm and pick up time is by 10pm. We will have plenty of games, free play, kids workouts, pizza, and movie/quiet time for the younger ones.

Ages 3-12yo
Members $25/child + $15/sbling
Non-members $30/kid + $20/sibling

Please dress kids in comfortable clothing with athletic shoes. Feel free to pack water, snacks (no nuts), etc for the evening. Pizza and fruit will be served at 7:30pm.

Your younger ones can pack pjs and bring a blanket or something to wind down with for late night movie time in our childcare room.

Cornerstone Kids - Winter Session

Join us for our Kid's Winter Camp.  Camp will run on three different days; Friday December 22nd, Wednesday December 27th and Thursday December 28th from 12-2pm at Cornerstone Fitness. Kids will go through skills and drills, gymnastics, workouts, supervised free play, and fitness games.

Community Workout and Toys for Tots Toy Drive

Join us for a free community workout and toy drive on Saturday, December 9th at 10am. We will be doing the "12 Days of Christmas" workout which follows along with the song. This is open to all fitness levels and is the perfect opportunity for you to bring friends and family in and show them what our community is all about. Wear an ugly sweater or tshirt for fun!

Toys must be new and unwrapped and will be donated to Toys for Tots on December 15th.

Can't make the workout?? We have donation bins now and will have up to a week after the worokut.

Ladies Night Scavenger Hunt and Dinner/Drinks

Join us for another Ladies Night Out! We will meet at Liberty Center for a FUN photo scavenger hunt first and then have dinner and drinks after.

Teams will be randomly selected that night so no need to worry about assembling a team beforehand. Challenges will all take place at Liberty Center so no driving will be required once parked. The challenges will also be fun...some silly...but all doable for every team!

Meet Melissa inside at the food court tables at 7pm (upstairs by Dick's) for team assignments and scavenger hunt list. Teams will be dispersed at 7:15 and have 45 minutes to complete as many challenges as possible.

We will meet up at Kona at the end of the hunt by 8pm so please join us if you can't make it in time for the scavenger hunt!

Join us for some Halloween fun! Come in costume and workout with the Members of Cornerstone Fitness. Open to all members of CFC, Sweat, and PT clients and their families.

We're excited to announce that Battle of the Barbells will host it's first out of state competition on September 30th, 2017. We have partnered up with CrossFit Cornerstone in West Chester, Ohio. This partner event will have M/M, F/F, and M/F teams in both RX and Scaled. Stay tuned for more details...

About us:
The Battle of the Barbells is a functional fitness event company based in Middle Tennessee. We have held successful 1 day/2 day/Individual/Team competitions since 2013. Since that time, our events have grown from 67 athletes to over 250 athletes. Our competitors consisted of CrossFit Games, Regional, GRID athletes as well as athletes new to the functional fitness community.
