Name: Chelsea Arent

Where did you grow up? Hamilton, Ohio

When did you become a member of the Cornerstone community? October 2015

What do you do when you are not at Cornerstone? (occupation, hobbies, etc.) When I am not at Cornerstone I work closely with individuals with exceptionalities in a severe-behavior unit as an Intervention Specialist (special education teacher). If I am not working or at the gym I am usually getting into some sort of mischief with friends, spending time with my dog, or watching trash television.

What is your favorite workout movement? Cleans

What is your least favorite movement your trainer makes you do? Thrusters

What is your favorite accomplishment since becoming a part of Cornerstone? Feeling strong and defying all the limitations I’ve ever put on myself.

What is something about yourself that we might not know? People never believe me when I tell them I’ve never, ever dyed my hair.

What advice would you give to someone just getting started in personal training at Cornerstone? In inevitable moments of burnout don’t wait for motivation to come to you. Consistency and determination require discipline. That is, and always will be the key to success not only in your training, but all aspects of your life.

What goals do you have for the rest of 2019? I’m constantly striving to become a better, stronger version of myself than I was the day/week/year before. More specifically I would like to become closer to my goal-weight, better my form on barbell movements, and master kipping pull ups and double unders.

Fill in the Blank

I’m #allin Cornerstone because aside from having a deep love the sport, I’ve never met a more genuinely kind and caring group of people in my life until walking through the doors at Cornerstone. I am so grateful for all the amazing friendships I’ve acquired through the Cornerstone community. Oh, and don’t even get me started on the coaching staff - truly A+, 10/10. Cornerstone has changed my life for the better in so many ways, and I can’t imagine my life without it!
