What is your fitness background? None
How long have you been CrossFitting? How did you end up at Cornerstone? I have been doing CrossFit for almost 2 years. Aaron (hubsband) was looking to start CrossFit and after meeting with JenO was convinced that CFC was the place for us.
How have you seen yourself change (mentally, physically,etc) since being a part of CFC? CrossFit and the CFC family have literally changed my life and I am so greatful. If you told me 2 years ago that I would be a CF athlete, I would have called you crazy. Quite frankly, I thought CF was a cult of super intense work out junkies. I viewed working out was a necessary evil that I avoided at all cost. Now, I can't imagine my life without CF (or some form of competitive athletics). I have learned that being "skinny" is not the goal, but rather being "fit" should be. I remember breaking down in tears about 1 week into CF when I realized that I had been lied to my entire life... I no longer (for the most part) obsess about the number on the scale, but rather obsess about my PRs. I have also learned a ton about nutrition to compliment my CF training. I am in the best shape of my life and excited because I know I will continue to get more fit!
What is your least favorite CrossFit move? What is your most favorite CrossFit move? Burpees are my least favorite. Snatches are my favorite.
Is there any particular WOD that you can remember is your favorite? Annie...it was the first WOD that I was able to do RX, and I can do it when I am traveling.
What are some of your goals that you have for yourself in the next year? As most already know, Aaron and I are expecting our first child this November. I have been able to continue my training throughout the pregnancy and plan to continue through the end. My goal is to meet or exceed my pre-pregnancy fitness condition within 6 months after the delivery.
